Morgan Spurlock’s Super Size Me turned the fast food industry on its head in his near-suicidal month of living on a super-sized McDiet and inspired numerous other films putting their own spin on the title, standup comic Doug Benson’s Super High Me arguably the best known. Spurlock immerses himself in his documentaries. Physical recovery from his one-man Super Size Me experiment took more than a year. He spent nearly a month in jail for an episode of his documentary television series 30 Days. And now he’s about to immerse himself in Comic-Con.

San Diego Comic-Con International (a.k.a. Comic-Con or SDCC) is the largest convention of any kind in the Western hemisphere and the second largest on the planet. In the introduction for “Run, Action Flick Chick, Run,” Katrina noted that it has grown from 300 attendees when it first met in 1970 to more than 125,000 per year now, now capped by the San Diego Convention Center’s physical capacity and the fire marshall’s instruction. It’s crazy and it’s fun. People who aren’t into comics can enjoy a variety of other programming on movies, television, video games, and more. Comic book lovers can still find a huge comic book convention in the midst of it all even if it’s now surrounded by so much other spectacle.

Spurlock isn’t venturing into this chaos unaided. In Morgan Team-Up #1, he joins forces with Joss Whedon, who created Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Firefly, and Stan “The Man” Lee himself. (Do we really need to tell you who Stan created and co-created? That could go on forever, you know.) Even cooler, they want to team up with YOU!

See their information below for details. ComicConDoc on twitter has said several times this week that it’s not too late to submit. They’re going to be taking submissions for several more weeks.
