Chick Hits Winter 2009-2010

The equinox struck and it was cold. As spring arrived, winter fired its parting shot by hurling a ton of snow at our Chick. Here are the posts downloaded most often from here this winter. Some extremely popular newer items don’t appear simply because they’ve not had as long to build up their hit counts. The most frequently read item continues to be Katrina’s review of a 1999 vigilante movie featuring a couple of Irish-American brothers, a broken toilet, an ill-fated cat, and a stupid effing rope.

We go back and forth on whether we count the Ghostbusters post as a review or not since it’s more about what to do while you wait for them to arrive.

Plenty has happened this winter. In the Women of the Web 2 special, G4TV announced Action Flick Chick Katrina as the winner of their Next Woman of the Web competition; she joined The Boondock Saints star Sean Patrick Flanery for a Q&A session at Dallas Comic-Con (Sean recognized her: “We’re tweet buddies!”); Sony Pictures let her give away props from The Boondock Saints II and Sean’s co-star Norman Reedus agreed to judge the giveaway (he’s still busy promoting the movie but swears he’ll get the entries judged); she joined the Screen Team, which was formerly Reelz Channel’s Movie Mob; she and her yellow bird avatar began starring in their own webcomic; she hung out with the cast of Kick-Ass after the movie’s red carpet premiere; and even more.
