Single-Shot Interviews: Worst Superpower, Celebrity Takes

Stan_Lee_thumbnailI posed the question “What would be the worst superpower?” on the site to get your feedback (“Win Comic-Con SWAG: What Is the Worst Superpower?”) for an online contest whose winner was picked by Adam West of  Batman and The Family Guy (“Adam West (@therealadamwest) Picks Worst SuperPower”). Just for fun, I also thought my team and I would see what some celebrities at San Diego Comic-Con International ’09 would have to say. Respondents varied in how they interpreted “worst” with regard to whether it meant most inconvenient, annoying, debilitating, or useless. See what various celebs had to say and get the final word on the subject straight from Stan “The Man” Lee.

Stunt Pro Interviews

Picking one favorite out of all the Chick’s interviews is tough. Those early ones at Wizard World Texas with actor and bodybuilder Lou Ferrigno (The Incredible Hulk; The King of QueensI Love You, Man) or in the War Room with actress and singer Kim Poirier (Dawn of the Dead; DecoysParadise FallsFoodland) remain special to me and popular with readers. Others along the way deserve attention. We’re forever grateful to everyone I’ve interviewed and everyone who has interviewed me (Somewhere in VegasNatsukashiHour 42).

The interviews which elicit more responses through email, post comments, and twitter aren’t the ones with actors, directors, writers, or cartoonists. No, the interviews with motion picture stunt professionals draw the most enthusiastic reaction because these are some fascinating, hard working individuals who are in the thick of the entertainment industry, making the on-screen talent look good without getting enough attention for themselves.

Interview: David Leitch (The Matrix Revolutions, 300, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, The Bourne Ultimatum, Confessions of an Action Star) part 1 and part 2

Interview: La Faye Baker (Independence Day, Mission: Impossible 3, Lethal Weapon 4, Naked Gun 33 1/3) part 1

Interview: Luci Romberg (Ninja Warrior, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Zombieland) part 1

Zombie Survival Guide for a Small Town

Everyone has at least seen one zombie film, and if you haven’t, I don’t think we can be friends until you do. So get on it! I’m not waiting around! You have to be prepared for when a zombie outbreak occurs in your own small town. The zombies have to be nipped in the bud (or head) before it takes over the whole world and it is up to you to do it. Prepare yourselves! It’s inevitable…

Most Downloaded Article: Way to Run, Olivia Munn!

Olivia Munn (co-host of the G4TV television series Attack of the Show! who wears a Wonder Woman costume well) is a hot topic for many reasons, including doing a Playboy magazine photo shoot while refusing to get naked – that’s right, Playboy pictures without nudity. She stuck to her guns about not getting into her birthday suit.

More people have read the article in which I commend Olivia for staying true to herself than any other specific article so far.
