The American Broadcasting Company (ABC) placed an order for TV pilots and scripts for potential mid-season replacement series including a potential new Charlie’s Angels from Sony TV with writers Al Gough and Miles Millar. This order does not yet mean another Angels movie can’t hit theaters again. Charlie’s Angels producers Drew Barrymore and Nancy Juvonen told [...]

While preparing for July’s upcoming San Diego Comic-Con International panel (“Where Are the Action Chicks?” starring Katrina Hill, Jill Pantozzi, Adrianne Curry, Jennifer Stuller, a certain stuntwoman we adore, and somebody to surprise you all), our heroine posed a question on Facebook and twitter. She already knew her own answer but wondered how others would view the [...]

Hell yes!!!! I am glad to see that someone finally has big enough balls to create a 12 year old female character that curses like a sailor and can kick a grown man’s ass in 2 seconds flat.

The Vulture stirred things up for the weekend with the report “Angelina Jolie Says No to Wanted 2, Killing the Sequel.” Despite the article’s lack of sources, it got people riled up with tweets, blogs, and screams as if the sequel’s death were a solid fact.”We’ve just heard the actress has pulled out of the [...]

As I’ve said before, Milla Jovovich is one hot lady. But she’s not just a hot lady, she does her share of kicking ass as well. Last year I inducted her into Chicks Who Don’t Want Flowers for Valentine’s Day for her role in Resident Evil. She’s so awesome that she is being added to the category again for her role in Ultraviolet.

My Troll 2 review (“Troll 2 (1990): Reasons Not to Eat Green Eggs and Ham”) prompted a surprising volume of discussion about the review, the movie, and people’s other favorite “bad” movies.

Philip Guest (@MediaTwin) asked what my “favourite romantic/action movie” was. My pick:
@actionchick: Crank: High Voltage (a.k.a. Crank 2)
@actionchick then solicited your thoughts on the matter. As usual, a wide variety of answers emerged, including some that are not action movies (e.g., Shaun of the Dead – having some action does not make it an action movie), some [...]

“How the hell do you have so many followers?”
On twitter as @actionchick, Action Flick Chick Katrina frequently gets asked that question in one form or another. It’s a hard one to answer, especially since the true underlying question for many who ask it is “How can I get a huge following?”
Well, it’s too late for you [...]

Notice that it’s horror heroine and not horror chick. A film can have a sorority’s worth of horror chicks, but only one horror chick gets to be the Final Girl, that heroine who outlasts all the rest.
Our action heroine Action Flick Chick under her codename @actionchick raised the issue in twitter.
actionchick: action heroine vs. horror [...]

Yancy Butler is one serious action chick. In her first major role, she played the machine – a robotic cop - on the TV series Mann & Machine. Her first theatrical motion picture was John Woo’s Hard Target starring Jean-Claude Van Damme, soon followed by Drop Zone with Wesley Snipes. She played another police officer on the [...]

“Either Kevin’s Teleprompter Read ‘Action Chick Flick’ Instead of ‘Action Flick Chick’ or AOTS Host Kevin Pereira Made a Simple Mistake the First Time He Mentioned the Action Flick Chick’” would have made for a post title that was both unwieldy and wishy-washy.
Right after Kevin Pereira’s obscene microphone gag (pun intended – if you know the “gag”) [...]

Without providing a single source, The Sun has stirred things up with its claim that Megan Fox (Jennifer’s Body, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen) has been cast to play Catwoman in the next Batman film. Other news sources are posting, quoting, and distorting the story, all inevitably drawing from the same unsupported report. Even the [...]
